Our simple and tasty “Message Cookie Cakes” started when a wonderful woman came to our small market stand
looking for a cookie cake for her grandson’s birthday. She had been on the search for hours and needed one to
bring to the party.
Seeing her need, we agreed to bake one for her but warned that neither of us are good at hand writing or
drawing so it “won’t look pretty”. She was overjoyed that we were willing to do it and agreed to come back in
2 hours to pick it up.
We didn’t have a box for it so we kindly requested that she bring the pan back when she was done. After She
had left, we both looked at each other wondering why didn’t we think of this!?
Since then, our baked-to-order Message Cookie Cakes have become one of the most popular ways to celebrate any
occasion in Lancaster, County.
P.S. She Brought back the pan and we still have it to this day.
